LensDict ("the App") is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything happens on your device.
LensDict does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
LensDict uses your device's camera solely to recognize text in real time and look up word definitions. Camera frames are processed entirely on-device using text recognition. No images or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted outside the app.
All dictionary data (WordNet 3.1 and Wiktionary) is bundled within the app and queried locally. No network requests are made for word lookups.
Words you bookmark, along with any personal notes, are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is never sent to any server. If you use iCloud, your device may sync this data via your own iCloud account according to Apple's iCloud terms.
Premium subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit framework. LensDict does not process or have access to any payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.
LensDict does not knowingly collect any data from children or any other users. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please contact us at lensdict@gmail.com.
